Bribery Act
Employers won’t have to worry about implementing new anti-corruption measures just yet as the Bribery Act which was set for implementation in April this year has just been postponed by at least a further 3 months pending official guidance. More on this as developments unfold.

The new Bribery Act will become law in April 2011 and employers will need to introduce anti-bribery policies into their Employment Policies and Procedures in order to defend themselves against allegations of corruption which can otherwise lead to prison sentences and heavy financial penalties imposed by the Serious Fraud Office.
